Acting

Eline Mets is an actor whose roles mostly include playing aliens, elves, spies and, most recently, a lead in a Viking movie.

The lack of powerful female roles was the reason Eline began writing roles for herself. She created and starred in Diaries of Badass Chicks and Fear Thy Bike aka Killer Dirtbikes. Being a motocross champion and the first woman in Canada to jump her dirt bike onto a BigAir airbag, she drew stories from her own motocross background, bringing the experience and visuals directly into both projects.

Eline started performing at around five years old, recording her own mock radio shows onto the family’s large 1980s sound system and spending hours playing both the host and all of the guests. At six, she was cast as the lead in Thumbelina in a theatre production that toured the entire county. She did not like the actor playing the Mole, so she recast herself as one of the frogs instead and was the happiest frog there was - especially since her mom got to sew her the frog costume with big bulgy eyes. So yes, she has always followed her own trail.

After those early performances, Eline pursued acting more seriously in London, where she first moved to in 2005 and later returned in 2010–2011, being part of “One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest” produced by The Secret Cinema, several indie Bollywood projects and playing one of the passengers in Mayday: Air Crash Investigation (her favourite show).

She completed the Summer University Acting Program at the Moscow Art Theatre School (MXAT) in collaboration with the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

In Estonia, she performed with the Estonian National Opera in Manon Lescaut and Julius Caesar in 2011–2012.

After moving to Vancouver, Eline continued her screen training while working professionally in film, television and commercials. Her Vancouver work features numerous screen roles in addition to Diaries Of Badass Chicks and Killer Dirtbikes, including lead roles in Folkvangr, Bourne Again and guest starring in History Channel’s Rust Valley Restorers. Commercial bookings include Honda Goldwing. She has trained in Estonia, London and Vancouver and her training also involves stage combat and stunts.
